Dog rescued from Bettendorf blaze
A dog was rescued from a fire Friday on Oak Park Drive in Bettendorf, according to a news release. Bettendorf Firefighters responded to a structure fire shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday. Crews saw heavy fire coming from the back side of the home, and quickly extinguished the fire on the outside of the home. Firefighters simultaneously extinguished the fire that burned through the exterior walls and into the attic.
Fire crews performed interior searches throughout all levels of the home.
