There’s no denying late actress Kirstie Alley loved spending time with her family. The Cheers alum adopted two children, William True and Lillie Price Stevenson, during her marriage to her second husband, Parker Stevenson. Kirstie’s kids announced her death at the age of 71 on December 5, 2022, in a statement shared on her Instagram account.
“To all our friends, far and wide around the world … We are sad to inform you that our incredible, fierce and loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered,” the statement read.

Roland E. "Slick" Temple, 85, of Laurel passed away on Sept. 27, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Temple was born on Nov. 12, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Laurel. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sylvia Temple; his daughter Dianne Brady; stepson Billy Moss; parents William Clark and Daisy Temple; and siblings Lamar "Skinny" Riley, Paul Temple, Nelson Temple, Louie Temple, Annie Windham, Sudie Lewis and Nita (Phillips) McRae.

The couple's 3-year-old daughter Kingsley wore a shirt printed with Mickey Mouse characters and Minnie Mouse ears, and in one snapshot, a sticker on her shirt indicated that it was her first time visiting Disney World.
A Night of Music at Songwriters in the Round
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County will presents the First Annual Songwriters in the Round, a country-theme music event, April 1 at Colab Gardens in Stuart at 6 p.m.
The first-of-its-kind fundraising dinner and dancing extravaganza will feature a cocktail hour set among the garden’s a rock waterfall and koi pond, while local musician Kyle Arnold performs. As they sip, guests will indulge in appetizers made and served by the students from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County’s Culinary Program from their famous Fork in the Road food truck.

UPDATE: Names released in fatal East Moline crash
UPDATE: According to a press release from Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson, the driver of the car has been identified as Andrew D. Painter, 40, of Colona. He was taken to Genesis-Illini Campus, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger of the car has been identified as Raymundo George Mendoza, 41, of East Moline. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is still considered an open and active investigation by the East Moline Police Department, Rock Island County Coroner’s Office and the Silvis Police Department.
