A memorial service for Mr. Robert Thomas “Bob” Cline will be at a later date. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.Mr. Cline, 86, of Louisville died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024 at Poplar Springs Nursing Center in Meridian.

Bob was born in Laurel and went on to marry Joann Cline on May 21, 1959. They celebrated their 63rd anniversary in May 2023. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and his master’s in industrial engineering from Mississippi State University. Bob retired from Raytheon in Forest after a career spanning 18 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and was a Master Gardener. He also enjoyed bee keeping, having formerly been a member of the Mississippi Bee Keeping Association. He was also a skilled wood worker and member of the Magnolia Wood Turners Association.

When not outdoors, he could be found in his woodshop using his skills and talents. He was a master craftsman, drafting his own plans and designs. He built his own woodworking shop, and designed one of his many masterpieces, a solid cherry cradle and highchair. He often made many pieces of furniture for his family members and friends. When relaxing, he loved to read and had an extensive library. He had topics of all sorts and his collection included every book authored by Louis L' Amour, and bird and history books just to name a few.

A Christian, Bob was saved at the age of 17, and was a member of several Baptist churches during his life. He sang in the choir at First Baptist Church in Louisville for many years. The principles he learned from Scripture were a compass for his life, and he strived to be an example for his family and friends to follow.

Mr. Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years Billie Joann Cline; children Kenneth Edward Cline (Beth), Michael Wayne Cline (Kathy) and Carol Ann Goodin; grandchildren Joshua Edward Cline, Christopher Cody Cline (Breanna) and Colin Patrick Goodin; great-grandchildren Sellers Elaine Cline and Callum Reese Cline; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.
